Again with a heavy heart, we are sad to report another fatality at the 2017 Isle of Man TT, as The Netherland’s Jochem van den Hoek died today, during the Superstock TT race.
According to the ACU, Jochem had an accident at the 11th Milestone, during the first lap of the race, where the 28-year-old was then treated at the scene.
Jochem made his Isle of Man TT debut last year, where he finished 44th in the Superbike TT, 34th in the Superstock TT, and 36th in the Senior TT.
This year he had his highest-placed finish, with a bronze replica winning 27th place in the Superbike TT.
Our deepest condolences go out to Jochem van den Hoek’s family and friends. Everyone will mourn his passing.
