Husqvana 701 Vitpilen Finally Going into Production

On its Instagram account, Husqvarna is teasing the fact that its next Vitpilen model is finally going prime time. That’s right, the Husqvarna 701 Vitpilen will be unveiled tomorrow at EICMA as a production.

This shouldn’t be too big of a surprise for anyone following the Swedish brand (or who read our EICMA preview story), but considering the reception that the Husqvarna 701 Vitpilen concept got at last year’s show, we would expect the Husqvarna stand to be pretty crowded in Milan.

Based off KTM’s 690cc single-cylinder thumper, the Husqvarna 701 Vitpilen brings a modern take on the café racer design that is entirely unique to the Swedish motorcycle marque – although, its interesting to see Honda jumping on the bandwagon with the new CB1000R.

So far with its street bike models, Husqvarna has done a good job of taking various KTM motorcycle platforms, and repurposing them in new and interesting ways.

At EICMA, we know the Husqvarna 701 Vitpilen will be the only production model shown in Milan, but the folks at Husky tell us that there will be a concept model shown tomorrow as well…and we have a pretty good idea what that will be.

A progressive return to how riding a motorcycle was always meant to be #Vitpilen701 #EICMA2017
