Episode 108 of the Paddock Pass Podcast is out, and this one is a WorldSBK show. As such, this means that we see Steve English joined by Gordon Ritchie on the mics, as they are now our WorldSBK reporting duo for the 2019 season.
Recording straight from the United Kingdom, the guys talk about the on-track action at Donington Park, where we saw some big movement in the championship standings, after a miserable weekend of riding for Alvaro Bautista.
The man of the weekend was Jonathan Rea, doing the double, with Bautista crashing out in the first race, and managing a podium in the second race, and a fourth in the superpole race.
Hemorrhaging points at the British round, Bautista now sees Rea leading him by 24 points overall. This obviously is a big talking point for the guys.
For a treat, the show ends with Eugene Laverty joining Steve English on the mics, as the Northern Irishman tells us about his recent injuries and journey to get back to racing. Eugene gives us a big chunk of his time, and the interview is quite interesting, so we think you will enjoy it.
As always, Steve and Gordo have a ton of insight into the superbike class, and share it with all of us listening, so if you are a WorldSBK fan – or Superbike curious – then you won’t want to miss their discussion.
