Motorcyclists who bleed green will be happy to hear that Kawasaki has FIVE new models to show us, between its unveilings at the Tokyo Motor Show and what is to come at EICMA.
From the company’s website, two of the upcoming machines will debut in Tokyo, while the other three will be launched at EICMA. Best of all, we have a pretty good idea what those bikes will be.
Kawasaki has made no shortage of teasers for the supercharged ZH2 model, all with an unveiling date of October 23rd. This makes the Kawasaki ZH2 the first bike that we know will debut at Tokyo.
The next few models come from conjecture. Since Kawasaki updated the Ninja 650 just recently, we can expect a similar updates to arrive with the 2020 Kawasaki Z650 and 2020 Kawasaki Versys 650 models.
Things get a bit murkier from here though, but we should expect to see the Kawasaki Z900 to get a treatment as well, likely to help position the bike against the much more powerful ZH2 that will debut.
Kawasaki seems to be teasing two naked bikes and a tall street bike in its graphic, so this story seems to pass the smell test thus far.
Lastly though, there is our favorite part, as we hope to see an updated Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR debuting at EICMA. Italy is the likely spot for such a machine to make its appearance, as KRT is a European affair.
Kawasaki has already teased the idea that a new ZX-10RR could be coming, with the pure focus being on competing in WorldSBK against Ducati.
It remains to be seen whether Kawasaki will go down the steroid-induced path the Bologna took with the Ducati Panigale V4 R, but Team Green is definitely keen to keep its World Superbike Championship title streak alive in 2020. As such, stay tuned.
