Ever since it was quietly made known that Ari Henning and Zack Courts, along with Spenser Robert, would be leaving the MotorTrend family, and their two-season-old show Throttle Out, we have been wondering where the trio would land…and now we know.

Announcing that they have joined the content and media team at Comoto (which was recently in the news for its acquisition of J&P Cycles), the move sees Courts, Henning, and Robert staying in Los Angeles and starting Comoto’s first West Coast office.

To that end, both Ari Henning and Zack Courts will join the Comoto media teams with “Media Lead” and “Editor” roles, while Spenser Robert will become the company’s West Coast Production Manager.

Their work will be featured across RevZilla’s various media platforms, including the Common Tread blog.

“We are excited to join a team, deeply rooted in the industry, where we can continue the mission to get more people riding motorcycles,” said Spenser Robert.

“The opportunity to work as a trio is critical to our success, and we are looking forward to combining our experience and creativity with incredible resources and support while working with great people, all to educate and inspire.”

The move isn’t too surprising for those following the media landscape in the motorcycle industry, as Courts has freelanced for RevZilla’s Common Tread in the past, with the blog also recently profiling Henning on its pages.

What is interesting from the news though is that it shows Comoto’s willingness to grow its business through an acquisition strategy, seen by the company’s unification of RevZilla and Cycle Gear under one roof, as well as the recent purchase of J&P Cycles.

What we haven’t seen before from Comoto is the company’s willingness to grow its media properties by gobbling up established players and personalities in the space, which is exactly what it has done here by grabbing the Sparza Creative team.

It is an interesting move from the apparel company, as it continues to use its media branches to help sell its wares online.

By adding Henning and Courts to its content masthead, RevZilla continues to bolster its legitimacy as a media outlet in the industry, which comes during a tough time for other media outlets in the two-wheeled realm.

For those keeping tabs, the Borg collective just got a little bigger today. Resistance is futile.
