One of several press launches that has been canceled because of the coronavirus outbreak, we won’t get to ride the KTM 890 Duke R before it hits US soil in limited numbers this year, but the Austrians are trying to do the next best thing.
This means that we will see another motorcycle manufacturer hosting a “virtual press launch” of a motorcycle this month, with KTM set to take the wraps off the new Duke at 8am Pacific Time.
Luckily, KTM provided us with a YouTube link for the presentation, in time to share it with you, so you can watch along with us as they show-off this middleweight sport bike.
We aren’t exactly sure what to expect in the presentation. It could be like an EICMA+ affair, like we saw with the Ducati Streetfighter V4 online presentation, or it could somehow be more robust – though nothing beats seeing a bike in person, talking with its creators, and taking it for a rip.
Word on the street is that we will be able to swing a leg over the KTM 890 Duke R later this year, which we are certainly looking forward to riding.
We rate the KTM 790 Duke as the best sport bike on the market for the dollar, and for just $1,000 more, the KTM 890 Duke R certainly brings more to the spec sheet than its price tag tells.
