The Ducati Panigale V4 SP Just Ruined Your Christmas List

The Ducati Panigale V4 doesn’t get much in terms of changes for the 2021 model year, which is to be expected since the superbike family from Bologna saw changes made to its superbike package last year.

The Italians do have a surprise for us though, and it is called the Ducati Panigale V4 SP.

To create the “SP” spec of the Panigale V4, you start with the 1,103cc “S” model, and then properly get funky with your bad self.

First, murder everything. Next, if you can’t paint a part in the “Winter Test” matte black paint scheme, then make it out of carbon fiber. This means BST carbon fiber wheels, aerodynamic winglets at the front, and a CF mudguard over the front wheel.

After that, you need to throw in a dry slipper clutch from STM, because…Ducati superbike.

From there,  you deck out the rest of the bike with proper go-fast parts. Brembo Stylema R calipers, a Brembo MCS 19/21 radial master cylinder, billet aluminum adjustable rearsets, and a 520 chain conversion are obvious choices.

Lastly, under no circumstances should two people ever be on the Panigale V4 SP at the same time. So, make the the subframe assembly for a single-rider setup, and put a solo cowl on the bike. Passenger pegs are an unforgivable sin.

What you have just created is the 211hp (157.5 kW) Ducati Panigale V4 SP. It weights 427 lbs (194 kg) at the curb (three pounds less than the Panigale V4 S), and looks like a stealth fighter. You are on your own for supplying the missiles.

If you need a moment to revise your Christmas list, we understand. Pricing starts at $37,000 MSRP for the US market…so hopefully you are on Santa’s “nice” list this year.
