Every year we post the latest supermoto offering from Husqvarna, even though the Swedish brand makes only incremental changes to its track-only, tire-shredding, dirt bike with street wheels.
Why? Because the world needs more supermotos in our lives, and right now Husqvarna is leading the pack when it comes to track-ready motards. As such, here is the 2022 Husqvarna FS 450.
New for the coming model year is the addition of a Brembo hydraulic clutch, and of course some new colors on the bodywork.
Other highlights include WP Suspension pieces, in the form of the WP WP XACT forks with AER technology, along with an WP XACT rear shock.
A single Brembo M50 caliper does the braking duty at the front, mated to a 310mm rotor. At the rear, there is a 220mm disc with a single-piston caliper.
Rounding out the components are CNC machined triple clamps, ProTaper handlebars, Alpina wheels (16.5″ front / 17″ rear), Bridgestone tires, and a carbon fiber composite subframe.
Making things fast and loud is the 450cc single-cylinder thumper, which makes 63hp. There is a five-speed gearbox by Pankl, with a slipper clutch from Suter.
On the electronics side, there is a launch control function for perfect starts, and a basic traction control system so you don’t highside yourself to the moon.
If you like what you see and hear, the 2022 Husqvarna FS 450 will be available from dealers starting in the fall of 2021.
