BMW Motorrad continues to put out sales records, quarter after quarter, and the third quarter of 2014 is no different. Selling 9,991 vehicles in September 2014, BMW has sold 100,217 motorcycles so far this year, up 7.6% over last year.
This marks the first time in BMW Motorrad’s history that the German company has cleared 100,000 units in the first nine months of the calendar year.
Helping that figure along is the fact that BMW saw retail growth in almost all of its sales regions, with Germany still leading the way with 17,068 units so far in 2014, for 25% marketshare in that country.
The USA, Italy, France, and UK followed Germany as BMW’s top motorcycle markets. BMW hopes that the recently unveiled S1000RR, R1200R, and R1200RS will continue to drive sales for zie Germans.
BMW Motorrad says two more new models are to be released at the EICMA show, one of which we know to be the S1000XR.
