With no dogs to navigate today Maverick Viñales did well to make it through to Q2 and qualify 12th.
Today’s pole position was the 51st of Marc Marquez’s already illustrious career, but has he ever had a better one?
A misfire cost Bradley Smith time and left him 10th on the grid, but his pace in FP3 and FP4 shows the progress he’s made.
Given how spectacular his pole lap was this was the most sedate that we saw Marquez on his fastest lap!
