Marc Marquez was 2nd quickest, only 0.033 seconds behind Lorenzo’s best time.
Bradley Smith was flying the flag for British fans on day one at Silverstone finishing, with the 3rd fastest time.
Fellow Brit Cal Crutchlow struggled, and finished down in 15th.
Crutchlow’s LCR team mate Jack Miller on the other hand had a very good day. He ended up one place in front of his factory Honda mounted teammate in 14th place.

Dani Pedrosa finished the opening day at Silverstone with the 4th fastest time.

A strong start for Aleix Espargaro. who finished 6th quickest on day one.
Silverstone is huge and tough to get about. Sometimes the only option is little bikes.
Scott Redding will be hoping for improvements for his home Grand Prix. He has started well, 6th quickest in FP1 and 9th in FP2.

Cal Crutchlow may have struggled, but his new Givi sponsored Honda looked much better than the old CWM livery.
Valentino Rossi is down in 10th place at the end of the first day.
Jorge Lorenzo set the fastest time of the day, but only just.
