Marc Marquez set a new lap record of 1’46.635 to claim pole position for tomorrow’s Grand Prix of Aragon.
Jorge Lorenzo was only just behind Marc Marquez, in 2nd place.
Andrea Iannone battled through the pain of a dislocated shoulder to take the final place on the front row.
Dani Pedrosa will start from 5th despite struggling with a lack of front end feel on his Repsol Honda.
Aleix Espargaro prepares himself for qualifying. He claimed 7th place for tomorrow’s race.
Valentino Rossi qualified in 6th place. He’ll need to pull another warm-up rabbit from his Monster Energy hat if he is to challenge Lorenzo and Marquez for victory.
Pol Espargaro equalled his best MotoGP qualifying of 4th.
Danilo Petrucci continues to impress on the Pramac Ducati. He’ll start from 9th place.
Another difficult day for Andrea Dovizioso, who didn’t make it into Q2 and will start from the 5th row of the grid.
Cal Crutchlow will start from the middle of the 3rd row.
It be a long way from anywhere, but the location of the Motorland Aragon circuit is stunning.
Eugene Laverty qualified as top Open Bike and is confident he can back that up in the race.
