Marc Marquez had to settle for 2nd on the grid for tomorrow’s race.
Jorge Lorenzo broke the pole record with a time of 1’30.011 to claim his first pole position at the Valencia Circuit.
Dani Pedrosa took the final place on the front row.
Valentino Rossi crashed during FP2. He will of course start the race from the back of the grid.
Nicky Hayden starts his final MotoGP race from 17th place.
Andrea Iannone was fastest in the morning’s FP3 session. He couldn’t back that up in qualifying and will start from 7th.
Stefan Bradl put his Aprilia into 14th place.
Cal Crutchlow will start from 5th.
Aleix Espargaro had a great qualifying session. He had to go through Q1, but that seamed to help as he qualified at the front of the 2nd row.
The Doctor will be looking for some favours tomorrow if he is to lift his 10th title.
Maverick Viñales will start from 11th place.
After a difficult Friday, Bradley Smith found some pace and will start from 6th place.
Jorge Lorenzo is confident ahead of tomorrow’s championship decider, but is aware that one mistake could be disastrous.
