BMW Motorrad USA is recalling 11 motorcycle models, for a total of 20,963 units, because the fuel pump, and the auxiliary fuel pump in certain models, may crack and leak fuel during vehicle operation.
When we saw the debut of the revised KTM 1290 Super Adventure S for the 2021 model year, we knew that there had to be a revision coming to the bike’s more off-road capable sibling, the KTM 1290 Super Adventure R. And, we were right.
Updated for the new model year, today we get our first glimpse of the 2021 KTM 1290 Super Adventure R motorcycle.
Buell Motorcycles is back, in case you missed the news. The American brand is in new hands new, merging back with its offshoot of Erik Buell Racing, under the leadership of Bill Melvin from Liquid Asset Partners.
For their resurgence, Buell aims to have 10 motorcycles on the market by 2024 – a grand ambition by any standard.
To help them reach that goal though, Buell will leverage three of the known models from the EBR days: the 1190RX superbike, the 1190SX streetfighter, and the less-known-about 1190AX.
Royal Enfield North America is recalling 4,403 units of its Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650 motorcycles, made between 2018 and 2020.
The issue stems from the brake calipers, which can become corroded when exposed to road salt.
This corrosion causes damage to the brake caliper piston bore and assemblies, and can result in unusual braking sound, increased brake drag, unusual difficulty in pushing the motorcycle manually, and may impact braking action.
After much, much talk and teasing, the Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 has finally debuted for the adventure-touring market. Much has been said and speculated about this ADV machine, but now it is finally all out in the open.
And what do we see? The bike holds its own on the spec-sheet, but the motorcycle shines the most on its pricing.
Do not adjust your computer monitors. Don’t worry about the date, this is not an April Fools joke. What you are seeing is real. Buell is back.
The Buell Motorcycles name is returning back to business, as Erik Buell Racing has acquired the name from Harley-Davidson, and plans to relaunch its motorcycle business under the moniker.
With that news, Buell Motorcycles has big plans, as the American company hopes to release 10 motorcycles by the 2024 model year.
There is something brewing between KTM and Kramer Motorcycles, and the internet seems to be in agreement with that notion.
The smoke to this fire comes from a story first published on German-language Speedweek, where it was reported that KTM was working on a smaller-displacement track bike, after scrapping its RC16 customer program.
The Speedweek story showed an alleged spy photo (shown below) of the bike that KTM was working on for this project, though the site failed to recognize the motorcycle in question as being a Kramer 890 GP2.
The MotoGP team unveilings continue, with now KTM showing its factory and satellite colors.
The livery on the Red Bull KTM Racing machines looks fairly unchanged from the previous season, but the new livery for Tech3’s KTM RC16 looks downright stunning in its low-key orange and black paint scheme.
Proof that less is more, the effect on the Tech3 KTM machines is palpable, and we are a big fan of the changes made to the fairing’s colors.
