The Honda CB650F is coming to the United States as a 2018 model year machine, so says American Honda. Expected to arrive in August 2017, the Honda CB650F adds a naked option to Honda’s middleweight street bike lineup, complimenting the CBR650F in the range.

The 650cc inline-four Honda CB650F creates a solid middle-point between the Honda CB500F and Honda CB1000R, which helps create a set of steppingstones between Honda’s entry-point machines and top-of-the-line range.

“We’re pleased to offer the tough-looking, strong-performing CB650F to American customers for the 2018 model year,” said Lee Edmunds, American Honda’s Manager of Motorcycle Marketing Communications.

“The CBR650F has shown that this four-cylinder power plant is a solid performer, and in this package it adeptly rounds out our comprehensive lineup of naked sport bikes, fitting in perfectly between the CB500F and the CB1000R.”

We rode the Honda CB650F in Europe back in 2014, and found the machine to be a solid and typical Honda machine, with some vibrations but otherwise a stout machine to ride.

Expected to be priced aggressively for the US market, Honda could turn some heads with the CB650F in its 2018 trim, especially as the naked motorcycle segment continues to gain popularity in America.

Features include Showa Dual Bending Valve forks with an adjustable rear shock, along with a headlight and taillight made with LED bulbs. The brake rotors all have a wave design, with 320mm units up front with Nissin calipers.

If despite all that the 2018 Honda CB650F still isn’t your thing, you should check out the custom versions of the machine that Honda Motor Europe displayed at the 2015 EICMA show in Milan…they are very tasty (here and here).
