An Asphalt & Rubber reader dropped off these two photos, showing the 2016 BMW R nineT Scrambler in its two trim levels.
Our reader goes on to say that the base model will be the road-going model we have already seen in a leaked video, while a pricer “off-road” model will include knobby tires, wire wheels, and ADV farkles.
That analysis sounds very much like a BMW Motorrad plan of action, and a close inspection of the photos shows them to be subtly different enough to be of two different bikes (or the same bike, with bits added and removed), instead of some kind of Photoshop work.
BMW Motorrad’s EICMA debut is set for Tuesday, where we expect to see these BMW R nineT Scrambler models, the BMW G310R, and other new and updated models from the German brand.
