Ducati has officially acknowledged the existence of the upcoming Multistrada 1200, making a dedicated mini site for the adventure tourer. There’s not a lot there now in regards to information (there’s only a countdown timer to EICMA and a teaser video), but it does at least confirm the rumor of the bike’s name not being Stradaperta (we still like that name better). We’ll be in Milan in 10 days, bringing you as much information about the most hyped Ducati to date. Video and pictures after the jump
As you can see from the video and pictures, the bike will not have the Hypermotard’s hand-guard system. Instead a half-guard is used, with mirrors jutting out over the guards in a traditional manner (looks to use a similar mounting system as found on the Streetfighter). The headlight is accented with LED’s, which seems to be Ducati’s new styling gesture. From the 1200 designation, it also now seems confirmed that the bike will feature the current 1198cc Superbike motor, instead of the 1098 motor that was rumored mid-way through the Multistrada’s rumor mill.
