We broke the news two days ago that Ducati was working on a special edition of the Panigale V4, to help commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Ducati 916 Superbike. Now, we have some official details on that news to share with you.
Helping Ducati celebrate one of its most iconic bikes is one of the men who raced on them – quite successfully, we might add – Carl Fogarty.
As such, the Ducati Panigale V4 25° Anniversario 916 model will come with some nods to Fogarty’s racing legacy, while also reminding two-wheeled fans of Ducati’s rich history in the WorldSBK paddock.
As you would expect, the new Anniversario 916 model will be a limited edition affair, with only 500 units made worldwide.
The bike will make its official debut at an event at the Laguna Seca round for the WorldSBK Championship, and riders Alvaro Bautista and Chaz Davies will feature the livery on their racing machines as well.
Ducati isn’t releasing all the details about the Panigale V4 25° Anniversario 916 just quite yet, but we can expect some unique parts for the special edition machine, and we suspect it will be based off the 1,103cc platform on the Panigale V4 S.
We will have more photos and details as soon as we get it. Stay tuned.
