The Ducati Streetfighter V4 Will Make Over 200hp!

We are one week away from seeing the production form of the upcoming Ducati Streetfighter V4, and this means that the Italian brand is starting its hype machine for this hotly anticipated motorcycle.

Borgo Panigale won’t have to work too hard to get us excited about the Streetfighter V4, however, as the bike’s specs do much of their own talking.

Try this on for size: 208hp @ 12,750 rpm from its 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale engine; 392 lbs of dry mass, biplane winglets attached to the fairings, and an electronics package straight off the high-tech Panigale V4.

This makes the 2020 Ducati Streetfighter V4 one stout machine for street riders, and these specs certainly tick all the boxes we had when it comes to our expectations for this naked superbike.

Of course what Ducati will be keen to mention is how these top specs blow the competition out of the water, thus making the Streetfighter V4 a loud return to this sport bike segment for the Italian brand.

Doing some math, we can tell from the power figures that Ducati has played around with the powerband on the Streetfighter V4, with the bike making its peak power figure 250 rpm lower than its superbike counterpart, and at a difference of 6hp.

What this hopefully means is that the V4 engine’s power curve has been made more broad, to give street riders more torque to play with on city streets.

We don’t expect styling to be too far from the prototype model that fatefully debuted at Pikes Peak, with the Streetfighter V4 and the Panigale V4 sharing many attributes.

Of course, the big piece of the puzzle that we don’t know about the Ducati Streetfighter V4 is the price, and that could be a sizable factor in the bike’s overall success.

Our best guess puts the Streetfighter V4 around the $20,000 mark, which is a hefty sum, though not overly crazy when you look at some of the comparables.

We will have to wait for official pricing from Ducati, however, as well as final specs. But, the wait shouldn’t be too much longer.
