Every year at EICMA, Husqvarna teases us with a concept model that could become a future motorcycle. This is how the Vitpilen and Svartpilen models got their start, and now we see the second “Aero” model from the Swedish brand.
Last year we saw the Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 Aero concept, and now this year we see the 701 variant of the design. As such, the Husqvarna Vitpilen 701 Aero concept continues some of the design trends that we have seen before, with of course a bigger motor in its belly.
Looking at the concept, you can see elements of the Vitpilen 701 and the 401 Aero concept merging together. The idea continues the retro modern design that Husqvarna is carving out for itself, though we finally get to see some color.
The 701 Aero features a disc rear wheel, which fits nicely with the swept back café front fairing. The slash-cut exhaust also fits into the style nicely, and draws a line back to the Vitpilen 701 street bike.
The unsung feature of the Husqvarna Vitpilen 701 Aero concept is its round TFT dash, which has been designed to be both highly function and quite minimalistic. We have a feeling that this is the start of Husqvarna exploring more robust electronic features in the two-wheeled space…something the industry lacks so severely.
Now that we have seen the machine, the question remains though, how do we feel about the Husqvarna Vitpilen 701 Aero Concept? Leave us some thoughts in the comments.
