A little surprise landed in Milan today, courtesy of the folks at MV Agusta. We thought that the Italian brand had already shown us everything for EICMA this year, but now we get to see the new MV Agusta Rush 1000.
Based off the MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR that was released this past weekend, the MV Agusta Rush 1000 is the naked bike taken to the extreme.
The folks at MV say that the Rush 1000 is an homage to the drag racing scene, but to our eye, it looks like the design team was let loose to make a truly unique streetfighter.
When fitted with the included exhaust, the MV Agusta Rush 1000 makes 209hp, with 86 lbs•ft of torque, while tipping the scales at 408 lbs (dry).
SC-Project has been tasked with making the one-of-a-kind exhaust, which routes into a dual-tipped end piece. Öhlins electronic suspension is front and aft, with Brembo Stylema calipers doing the clamping duties on the 320mm discs.
Though there are many visual changes to the Rush 1000, MV Agusta highlights the round LED headlight at the front, which is inspired by the one found on the MV Agusta RVS #1 motorcycle.
Carbon fiber abounds, including the rear wheel cover, which hides a forged aluminum wheel that is mounted to the single-sided swingarm.
What do you think? Is the MV Agusta Rush 1000 radical enough for your tastes? We are still waiting for pricing and availability information from MV Agusta, but the Rush 1000 looks rare and expensive.
