Episode 233 of the Paddock Pass Podcast is out, and this show covers the MotoGP action from the British GP at Silverstone.
On the mics, we have David Emmett, Neil Morrison, and Adam Wheeler, as they cover what turned out to be a very eventful weekend in Austria.
The guys cover a busy weekend in the UK, and start things off with a discussion of Quartararo’s win, and whether it means he has the 2022 title in the bag, or whether a crash like he had in FP2 could still stop him in his tracks.
That leads on to a discussion of the Michelin tire issues at Silverstone, and a debate over whether the problem is quality control or the complexities of getting the Michelin tires to work.
For a special insight, we also have a quick chat with Ducati rider Jack Miller, on the ergonomics of riding.
From there, we go on to discuss Aprilia’s progress, the key decisions that helped Aleix Espargaro score the Italian factory’s first podium in the four-stroke era.
Naturally enough, that brings us round to Maverick Viñales’ first test on the RS-GP, and what he can bring to the bike.
We also answer a few listener questions, discuss Marc Marquez’ crash with Jorge Martin, and give our winners and losers for the weekend.
As always, the conversation is insightful and lively, and adds another dimension to what goes on in the MotoGP Championship paddock.
