Motorcycles and customization go hand-in-hand, with one’s bike often being the pinnacle of their self-expression.
So it shouldn’t be too surprising then that Ducati has just unveiled its own factory customization program, following in the footsteps of Triumph, MV Agusta, and others. As such, let us introduce you to Ducati Unica.
For those who don’t speak the boot-shaped country’s mother tongue, “Unica” means “unique” in Italian, and that is the experience that Ducati is selling: one-off custom Ducati motorcycles that are like no other.
The limit with the Ducati Unica program, or at least whatever your wallet can afford. Ducati isn’t letting too many substantive details slip on the project, but we would assume that you can pick any bike from the current Ducati lineup, and get to work on it.
That includes visiting the Ducati Centro Stile in Bologna, and working one-on-one with the design team to achieve your dreams.
The team will then keep you apprised of your bike’s creation, and help recommend different color, materials, and design choices.
“Design is a distinctive element of our creations. We wanted to give Ducatisti the chance to identify themselves even more with their own bike, making it a direct expression of each person’s individual style,” said Andrea Ferraresi, Centro Stile Ducati Director.
“Therefore, we created Ducati Unica, an exclusive program that testifies to the excellence of Made in Italy of which Ducati is a representative in the world.”
“An exciting and unforgettable experience of customization to be experienced directly within our Centro Stile. The moment in which Ducatisti finally see their bike is very exciting for us at the Centro Stile and a source of great pride.”
Interested parties should contact their local Ducati dealership to begin their Unica experience, but our understanding is that the availability to US buyers is extremely limited.
