Episode 118 of the Paddock Pass Podcast is out, and this one is a WorldSBK show, as the production championship comes to us from Magny-Cours, France.
As such, this means that we see Steve English joined by Gordon Ritchie on the mics, as they are our World Superbike reporting duo for the 2019 season.
Recording straight from trackside at the French track, the guys give some conversation about the on-track action at Magny-Cours, as well as what is happening off the track.
The first story is the news that Alvaro Bautista is leaving Ducati Corse for the HRC team next season, which caused some friction between the factory rider and the Italian factory, especially on Twitter.
Of course, the guys have to talk about Jonathan Rea, who had still another race before he could clinch the world title at the time of this recording. The 2019 season has been one of extremes, but Rea has shown that consistency ultimately wins a Championship.
The show finishes with some silly season news, and as always, Steve and Gordo have a ton of insight into the superbike class, and share it with all of us listening, so if you are a WorldSBK fan – or Superbike curious – then you won’t want to miss their discussion.
