With Marco Simoncelli having obligations in Estoril, British Superbike racer, Leon Camier, will be filling in for the injured Shinya Nakano at Magny-Cours this weekend. Camier will get to ride the Aprilia RSV4 Factory alongside Max Biaggi as World Superbike wraps up it season with its second-to-last stop of the year at the French Magny-Cours race track.
Camier has been vying for a WSBK ride for a while now, and with his dominating performance in the BSB series this year, hopefully the young Brit will get his chance on this outing with Aprilia.
Camier comes off his recent winning of the BSB Championship series by 99.5 points, and is eager to move up in the world of motorcycle racing. With seats in WSBK likely to start shuffling around, its very possible this won’t be the last article you read about Camier here on Asphalt & Rubber.
