Where the Panigale V4 goes, the Streetfighter V4 follows – or so the thinking would be, if all things were rational in Borgo Panigale.
At the very least, it would explain today’s rumor about the Italian brand, as Motorcycle.com is reporting that Ducati is preparing to release a Streetfighter V4 SP model.
That news comes from EPA documents that the publications has scoped, which indicated the name of the bike, and that no changes are made to its 205hp (152 kW) V4 engine.
What the Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP will entail should be fairly easy to decode, as we can learn from the lessons found in the Ducati Panigale V4 SP.
This means carbon fiber wheels from BST, Brembo Stylema R calipers, Brembo MCS radial master cylinder, and an STM dry clutch. We can also expect a special “test” livery, plenty of carbon fiber touches, and a price tag to match.
On the Panigale V4 lineup, the SP model commands an $8,300 premium over the S model, so using that math, we can expect that the Streetfighter V4 SP will come with a sticker shock of $32,700 or so.
That’s a pretty penny for a motorcycle, but then again it is quite the motorcycle.
We would expect to see the 2022 Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP debut between now and November as Ducati seems to be getting away from the EICMA trade show craziness, and a model like this doesn’t need too much fanfare to be released. Stay tuned!
