One of our eagle-eyed readers sent us this image, which shows a fully-faired Zero SR/F electric motorcycle out in the wild, near the headquarters of Zero Motorcycles.
The photo is our first piece of concrete proof that a fully-faired model of the electric sport bike is coming, though there have been rumors of the machine since before the official debut of the SR/F itself.
That Zero would be working on a full-fairing sport bike make sense, since it is a logical progression from the company’s initial naked offering, and it only stands to reason that the Californian company would make the SR/F into a platform for multiple models.
As such, we would expect this full fairing SR/F to share its naked brethren’s specs, with the only meaningful changes coming by way of the full-fairing aesthetic.
This means the same 110hp / 140 lbs•ft motor setup, along with the 12.6 kWh battery supply, that come on the new electric bike.
Of course, now the question is what sort of model will follow-up this full-fairing sport bike once it debuts? An ADV machine, perhaps?
We expect this full fairing motorcycle to drop for the 2020 model year, though it’s anyone’s guess when it will debut. The smart money is on EICMA though.
