Moto Guzzi has made three concepts for this year’s EICMA show, all based around the Mandello 1,200cc v-twin motor. Unveiled en masse, the Moto Guzzi V12 Le Mans (LM), Moto Guzzi V2 X, and Moto Guzzi V12 Strada are all striking concepts, but the V12 LM was the star of Moto Guzzi’s unveiling, and shows the brand’s aggressive designs and focus for the future. Photos, details, and an official “description” after the jump.
KTM is continuing to expand its 2010 model line-up by adding upon its 1190 RC8 offering. Announced today at EICMA, KTM has unveiled a limited production 1190 RC8 R Red Bull superbike replica, which is Based off the Red Bull livery that Stefan Nebel wore in the German Superbike Championship (IDM). After debuting the 2010 BMW R1200RT and 2010 BMW R1200GS ahead of EICMA, BMW left some of for today at EICMA. Called Concept 6 (6-Pack internally), BMW released a concept bike that features an in-line six-cylinder motor, and takes its design cues from a futuristic cafe racer ethos.
The 2010 MV Agusta F4 has been hyped extensively by MV, but after seeing the Brutale release, we were skeptical about what the new F4 would bring. Expectedly, the 2010 MV Agusta F4 is based of Massimo Tamburini’s iconic design, and is updated to fit more with modern tastes. But MV has also changed the bike underneath the hood. More on that, photos, and technical specifications after the jump.
As we had reported earlier, the Hypermotard 1100 has been updated to fit more inline with the recently released 2010 Ducati Hypermotard 796. Now call the Hypermotard 1100 EVO, the 2010 Ducati Hypermotard 1100 EVO will come with its based model, and the 2010 Ducati Hypermotard 1100 EVO SP, which replaces the Hypermotard 1100S.
Not content to just simply bring the Hypermotard 1100 in-line with the Hypermotard 796, Ducati is upping the ante on the Hypermotard front with the 2010 Hypermotard 1100 EVO SP. Designed to be a decisive street/track weapon, the EVO SP takes over where the 2009 Hypermotard 1100S left off.
UPDATE: The 848 Dark will be the same spec as the standard 848, photos now added.
We had expected to see a new Ducati 848 unveiled at EICMA this week, but the model we were expecting was a higher spec version of the bike, an 848S. Instead Ducati brings us the 2010 Ducati 848 Dark, which will retail a full $1,000 less than “base” 848.
This week will feature a slightly different format than usual, as we’ll be coming to you directly from the 2009 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan. With media reveals starting in 24 hours, each morning this week we will bring you the latest news from the show, which is expected to have a bevy of motorcycles shown to the public for the first time (well that is of course unless you’re already an avid A&R reader, in which case you’ve already seen some of these bikes).

UPDATE: Aprilia has released official photos and information on the 2010 Aprilia Shiver 750.
Making it a 2 for 2 Saturday, we have also gotten some leaked photos of the 2010 Aprilia Shiver, and it looks like the new Shiver carries with it the same disappointment we had with the 2010 Aprilia Dorsoduro Factory. Obvious changes are the sportier look that includes a fairing around the dash mounting, as well as wave disc-brakes fore and aft. Despite the tastefully done facelift, the feature we wanted the most was a diet for this 417lb (dry), but otherwise perfect daily rider.
Well it didn’t take long for the rumors about the 2010 Aprilia Dorsoduro Factory edition to come true, as we now have photos of the new bike leaked ahead of next week’s EICMA motorcycle show in Milan. It’s a little disappointing what Aprilia has done to the bike to make it stand-out from its base model, with the obvious differences between the two being just the Factory’s carbon body panels and red trellis frame. Continue on for more details and photos.
It’s less than a week from the unveiling of the 2010 MV Agusta F4, and already we’ve been teased with a photo of the front of the motorcycle, and a render of its rear. Helping to fan the fire to the ungoing hype that’s surrounded the new F4, MV Agusta has released a teaser video that shows the bike off even more. Video after the jump.
