At the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Benelli finally gave the public a glimpse at its new TnT 899 Cafe Racer, after teasing us with spy photos of the bike out testing. While this was our first opportunity to see the bike in person, it was also the first time that Benelli released the 2010 Benelli TnT 899 Cafe Racer’s technical specifications. With 120hp at the crank, the baby TnT packs some power, and it will need it if it wants to haul around the 454lbs (wet) motorcycle it’s attached to. Pictures and more after the jump.
Creating a tribute to the 750 Imola Desmo, Spanish tuner Radical Ducati has made this special cafe racer, the RAD02 Imola. Featuring a 900SSie engine with hot cams, a Monster S4R chassis, 749S forks, a MV Agusta ride-height adjuster, and asymmetric megaphone cans, the RAD02 Imola is a stunning example of the modern cafe racer genre. We drooled over it for a while, and you will too. Photos and more after the jump.
Like a young kid that sneaks down to the family room on the night of Christmas Eve, spying on Santa Clause as he delivers his bounty of presents, we’ve gone and spoiled maybe the biggest announcement to come out of Benelli for 2010. After catching the 2010 Benelli TnT 899 Cafe Racer out in the wild testing, it comes as no surprise that the bike has now been officially made public at EICMA.
There might be a pulse after all in the town of Milwaukee. A&R has gotten word that the Sultan of Slow is working on a cafe racer motorcycle, similar to the classic XLCR 1000.
Mac Motorcycles is entering into the fray as Britain’s latest motorcycle manufacturer. With a cafe-racer/chopper design, Mac is planning to have 4 models: the Spud, Ruby, Peashooter, and Roarer. All four bikes will be lightweight street cruisers, with no plastic, and nothing you don’t need except to just ride for the hell of riding.
BMW has released its LoRider concept today at the EICMA show in Milan. Billing it as the expression of freedom, independence, and a move away from the everyday routine, BMW is hoping to capitalize on the emotion of standing out from the crowd by owning a motorcycle…and then owning a motorcycle unlike those around you.
