Another taste of what is to come at EICMA, Rieju has announced that they will be launching the RS3, a replacement for their RS2 50cc-125cc displacement sportbikes, at the EICMA 2009 International Motorcycle Show in Milan on November 9th. Designed in conjunction with ArianeTech Ingeniería and Xenophya Design, this little sportbike is sure to turn a few heads…unfortunately, just not in America. More after the jump.
Breaking cover ahead of Milan, CR&S has finally taken the curtain off their Duu street cruiser. The bike, which features an S&S 1,916cc v-twin motor, is expected to hit European soil in 2011 with a price tag around €20,000. Photos and more after the jump.
In exactly one week’s time, A&R will be toughing it out in the harsh Milanese winter, sipping our cappucino, while MV Agusta shows us the latest iteration of their F4 Superbike. After releasing photos of the new 2010 MV Agusta Brutale, and teasing us with the front-view of the F4, we were a little worried the design of the new MV flagship (rendered above) was going to be a little stale. Ducati has officially acknowledged the existence of the upcoming Multistrada 1200, making a dedicated mini site for the adventure tourer. There’s not a lot there now in regards to information (there’s only a countdown timer to EICMA and a teaser video), but it does at least confirm the rumor of the bike’s name not being Stradaperta (we still like that name better). The sometimes reliable MCN is reporting that they have information that Aprilia will be launching a Factory version of their Dorsoduro street-tard at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan in two weeks time. Also expected at EICMA is a revised version of the Aprilia Shiver.
You may remember that we brought you some of the first shots of the Moto Morini 1200cc motard taking some test laps back in August. It seems Ducati is not going to waste any time in revamping the Hypermotard 1100, after the recent launch of the 2010 Ducati Hypermotard 796 (pictured above) caused some surprise with the public on its subtle design differences, and similar power characteristics.
Due to be unveiled at the upcoming EICMA show in Milan, Italy, the 2010 Ducati Hypermotard 1100 will get a power boost, as well as a revised chassis, handlebars, and other design bits that will bring the original HM in-line with the 796’s look and power.

If you’re saying to yourself, “gee…that looks a lot like the Bimota Tesi 3D,” you’d be right, and that’s because the Vyrus 987 C3 4V was designed by Ascanio Rodorigo, who worked with Massimo Tamburini at Bimota in the early-1980’s. Now running the boutique shop Vyrus, Rodorigo has unveiled his latest revision in his series, the 987.
Most of the internet is still abuzz over the news of Buell’s demise (don’t worry, your friends who read print magazines will hear the news in a month or two), but for the people at MV Agusta, right now is perhaps even more precarious because their future is uncertain. Harley-Davidson’s decision to circle the wagons around the HD brand, meant for MV that they would once again be up for auction to the highest bidder. This timing perhaps comes at the absolute worst moment, as the Italian brand was finally having to come to terms with how it would move forward as a company without Massimo Tamburini inking the designs.
For many, this will come with a sigh of relief. Ducati VP of Marketing, Diego Sgorbati, has confirmed that Ducati has no intentions of making a cruiser motorcycle…for the time being. Long rumored to appear at the upcoming EICMA expo, the Ducati Vyper concept has stirred a few imaginations, as well as a few stomachs. Reported in various forms, we still like to visualize it with the renders that Luca from Bar-Design provided us with last year.
Rumor has it that Quantya is planning to make an electric sportbike that will rival the Zero SS. m24 uncovered the news at the EVS24 Green Vehicle Conference taking place in Stavanger, Norway.
