As was expected from spy photos and internet rumors, a bagger version of the BMW R18 has finally official broken its cover.
We always knew that BMW Motorrad’s gigantic air-cooled boxer-twin engine would be a platform for multiple models, so it shouldn’t surprise us to see the BMW R18 B debuting for the 2022 model year.
The bagger model launches with marque’s dresser variant, the BMW R18 Transcontinental, also coming to market, with both bikes available in August 2021.
The second-prong to BMW Motorrad’s heritage touring package, the BMW R18 Transcontinental is the full dresser option for the R18 platform.
As one would expect from such a machine, it comes loaded with a batwing fairing, panniers, and touring top box.
As expected, today we see the debut of a limited edition Troy Bayliss model from Ducati Motor Holding, but unexpectedly the bike in question is the based off the Ducati Panigale V2.
Officially called the Ducati Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Champion 20th Anniversary, the motorcycle features a fetching livery, adorned with the racing number of three-time World Champion, Troy Bayliss.
There is more here though than just some paint and a $4,500 markup (MSRP is set at $21,000, whereas a base model will cost you $16,500).
The KTM RC 8C just dropped, and it is quite the stunner. More so, the bike is destined to be an absolute blast to ride on the track, since it is built upon the Kramer GP2 890R platform.
With the Austrian firm’s 890cc parallel-twin engine at the heart of the machine, and making close to 130hp (94 kW), it would be easy to get infatuated with the bike’s brawn, but it is really its nimble nature that makes the RC 8C such a weapon.
Have we just seen the unveiling of the ultimate track bike? The KTM RC 8C certainly fits the part on paper with its 128hp on tap, 140 kg dry weight (308 lbs), and high-spec components.
Though the exterior is all-new, we have seen much of the KTM RC 8C before, as the bike is really just a rebadge and massaged Kramer GP2 890R track bike, though the Ready to Race folks make no mention of the involvement of their German counterparts.

The BMW Motorrad Definition CE 04 electric scooter will become a real motorcycle tomorrow, as the German brand is teasing a very obvious photo of the bike and its launch date.
The photo above was taken from BMW Motorrad’s Instagram account, with a little exposure added in Photoshop to show the lines of the machine in question, which show the very obvious silhouette of the CE 04.
The BMW S1000RR is getting some very mild updates for the 2022 model year, but they do go beyond the attractive “bold new colors” that come with the new black livery that is available.
The biggest change is that BMW Motorrad is making the M Chassis kit for the BMW S1000RR standard on the 2022 model, which means an adjustable swingarm pivot and adjustable tail riser.

The temperatures were hot (115°F), and the racing was fast. The Ridge Motorsports Park has changed a lot too, since the last time the national series stopped by the Pacific North West.
With fresh asphalt, more facilities, and a heck of a lot more black-top, The Ridge is quickly becoming a national-caliber race track, and a popular destination with riders.
If you haven’t had a chance to spin some laps on its 16 turns (plus chicane), then you are missing out. The racing there is pretty good too.
